I am running a BKSA Powerkite Instructors course on the 10th – 12th July at The Surf Sanctuary; the course is a mixture of class room theory and group work and practical work on the beach with the kites in the air.
A basic breakdown of the weekend is as follows:
Day 1:
Meet and greet / BKSA overview / course content and aims / insurance / roles and responsibilities of an instructor / risk assessments, NOPs and EAPs
Break for lunch
Lesson planning, duty of care / weather and tides / Kiting equipment including modern LEI kites / Powerkite lesson theory, group control / Homework: prepare a 5 minute presentation
Day 2:
Group speaking and presentation skills / Coaching strategy and skills / Powerkite lesson practical and assessment / 5 Minute presentations
Day 3: (Buggy and Board candidates only)
Introducing the dynamic wind window / Sailing theory / Buggy and board lesson practical

How much is the powerkite instructors’ course you’re running in July? (3 day inc land traction). My BPKA ticket is getting old!
