Just when you thought it was safe to get out of the water…

Another week of overhead swell lines up!

Things are back to normal today and I got in for a lovely surf (19th in a row!) at low tide Fistral; 3ft and offshore – pretty much classic surfing conditions. Plenty of juice to get the odd cover up and throw in a floater here and there too. After my go out I went back home and snapped a few shots off in the gloomy late winter light.

Yep, perfect surfing conditions. Got a weekend full of  birthday parties ahead so I shall be pulling the booze handbrake up in the evening so as to be fresh for Sunday, it looks like it could be pretty special! Hitting 21 surfs back to back is looking very likely, tomorrow won’t be too special but I’ll get in for the higher tide bangaround.

I wonder what other locations around the world are giving people the chance to surf in good waves every single day? I also wonder how many years have gone by where I could have done this but just got distracted doing other things.

A bit more warmth creeping into the air today, in general people seem a bit more chipper and a corner has certainly been turned.
