Work coming on nicely on The Surf Sanctuary surf lodge, Newquay

Some of you may or may not know that I am setting up a nice and cheap surf lodge b and b type place for kitesurfers, surfers, SUPers, and general beach lovers in Newquay. The missus hit upon the great name – The Surf Sanctuary – and you can see the work-in-progress website at www.thesurfsanctuary.co.uk .

The Surf Sanctuary will be open for Easter, and we are offering cheap, clean, comfy, cosy accommodation geared towards people who love the ocean and want to spend more time doing the things they love in it, as well as enjoying the afterglow and general bonhomerie of the surfing lifestyle and the characters that embrace it.

 We’ll be doing things a little differently to most other places because at TSS the emphasis is on making the most of the day, and sure, enjoying the evening, but not at the expense of sacrificing the next day’s action. So we’ve got secure equipment storage, a wetsuit drying room, mate’s rates rental on kites, surfboards, buggies, landboards, kiteboards, harnesses and whatever, tea and coffee in all rooms, en suite rooms and now this is getting normal again…

…AND! The main ‘hook’ beyond all this is that at The Surf Sanctuary we’ll expect that you’ll want to come surfing / kiting whatever, with us. If you’re experienced, just come along and know that you’ll be at the best spot for the day. If you need a lesson, then great, because we’ve always got a seasoned instructor or two lurking about to bring you on.

 Local knowledge, surfing companionship and an insta-crowd of new mates are free, and assured at The Surf Sanctuary.
